Not really sure I will post frequently from my iPhone. But I love the fact to have the possibility to do it.

I know Mike for a long time, crossed him many times, but did not really have the time to talk a little.
He has many activities, amongst the followings:
- Editor at TechCrunch UK
- Director at NewCorrespondent.com
- Blogger at MediaBites.com
Mike was in San Francisco to be also part of the WebMission2008 which is a very interesting initiative. I have already organized a Study Trip in Silicon Valley a month ago, very constructive for the guys. And Mike is explaining it perfectly.
I’m planning to be back soon in Silicon Valley and ready to organize a new one. If any interested, ping me!

Ignite Web 2.0 Expo SF II: James Levy - Medill Eats Its Own Dog Food April 23, 2008

What’s Ignite?
If you had five minutes on stage what would you say? What if you only got 20 slides and they rotated automatically after 15 seconds? Would you pitch a project? Launch a web site? Teach a hack? This occurred during Ignite SF at Web 2.0 Expo SF.
In the aftermath of a serious trust scandal, a journalism school asks tough questions about its future. Transparently.

Alert Thingy: try it! April 17, 2008

By advance, for those tired from every new web2 stuff coming out, just leave.
For the others, who have registered to FriendFeed, just install Alert Thingy!
Key thing is to be really selective on “Friends” you’re following, because you’ll get updates from every web placer they have inserted in their settings (Twitter, FlickR, Seesmic, delicio.us and so on)…
The UI is really cool, and it’s a very interesting concept to see those flows coming, informing you, alerting you…
A real source of many contents detected…
tweetclouds for PhilJ April 17, 2008

I had fun testing tweetclouds that gives you a tag with all updates you made on Twitter. Real geek stuff indeed!
“Make a word cloud from a public Twitter stream”.
Well, first remark, Loïc will be happy. Now I know why many people mention Seesmic when they talk to me. Did not realize this.
“Mobile” has some success, but “pour”, “pas”, “que”, “sur” do not make me really confident on efficiency of tweetclouds mechanism…
Or (surely) really point out how French is a language with many words but poor meanings. Possible indeed.
Never forget to care about your updates on Twitter. Always.
Facebook is not just what you think it is March 27, 2008

I had the chance to be received by Henri Moissinac, Head of Mobile at Facebook.
But not any chance that I do not fulfill my commitment: I promised I would say nothing and I will. That’s reciprocity, and in fact we had just global introduction to what Facebook is.
And my conclusion would be: just hear the words from Jesus and not only the saints. Or the rumour. Or journalists, bloggers
The fact is that explained direct, then it comes to you a better understanding of what things are.
I do not change my mind regarding some issues (privacy, ownerships of brands and events, etc.) but I do not feel convinced that Facebook is just this killing machine.
There are space for other projects in social community, web2.0 things, group & event management web sites.
Just see how you could use Facebook: web API, mobile API.
I realized that on mobile area, there are some nice stuff to do.
Contact me if you need, my consultant prices are fair.
Best
